President and Managing Principal
Kelly has been involved in real estate in various segments and roles since 1982 when he began as a licensed commercial realtor with a major commercial real estate firm in Calgary. He was then recruited by a western Canadian real estate development company where for the next ten years he was responsible for an extensive Alberta and Saskatchewan real estate portfolio including office buildings, warehouse buildings and shopping centers. In this position he gained considerable knowledge not only in the sale, leasing and management of properties but in all areas of construction. He has leveraged this knowledge and experience into residential real estate acquisition and development and over the last sixteen years has owned, redeveloped and built numerous properties in Calgary and Arizona. Over the past few years his focus has been on the assembly of inner city properties to accommodate multi family developments.
Fascinated with new ideas, Kelly took a sabbatical from real estate during the formative years of the internet to pursue an education in Information Technology. After graduating from SAIT he acquired a small computer networking company and capitalizing on the emergence of the internet grew it into a 35 employee firm providing specialized installation services to broadband companies in Canada and the US.
Throughout his career whether it was dealing with commercial tenants, International I.T. companies or home owners, he has never lost focus of the importance of the customer's needs and puts that principle ahead of anything else. Kelly's mandate is to continue growing Bridgeland Developments Inc. by focusing on well located inner city development sites. He feels his extremely methodical and disciplined formula combined with his customer first philosophy will continue delivering successful, high quality developments.
